Guitarist and singer Molly Tuttle has teamed up with Thompson guitars for an extremely limited run of signature acoustic guitars.

The guitar’s main appeal is in its wood choices – the back and sides are Sinker Mahogany, while the top is made of Adirondack spruce. Thompson guitars said of the choice: “Molly loves the sound of mahogany AND the Sinker set brings its own added tone to this already beautiful guitar.”

Other premium appointments include two palm leaves on the fretboard, the inclusion of redwood in the inlays and rosette, and tortoiseshell bridge and end pins. The guitar comes in a vintage brown sunburst finish, with white purfling on the bound headstock and fretboard.

Tuttle is best known for her virtuosic grasp of flatpicking, clawhammer, and crosspicking techniques, and has appeared on many bluegrass recordings. Last year she released her debut solo full-length, When You’re Ready.

The run is limited to 30 pieces, with each shipping with a label signed by Molly. Each guitar will be custom made for $7,850. Find out more at pktguitars.com.
