Guitarist Jorge Santana, younger brother of Carlos Santana, has died at the age of 68.

The news was shared by his brother on social media, with Carlos Santana writing on Facebook: “We take time to celebrate the magnificent spirit of our beloved brother Jorge. He transitioned unto the realm of light that cast no shadow, the eyes of my heart clearly see him right in between our glorious and magnificent mother Josefina and our father Jose… They are caressing his face and kissing his hands showering him with Light and Love.”

He also played with his brother, appearing on the 1993 live album Sacred Fire: Live in South America, and on the 1994 album Santana Brothers, which also featured Carlos’ nephew, Carlos Hernandez.
