Washburn Guitars expands Comfort Series with new acoustic-electric

The first all-solid guitar of the series boasts an impressive tonewood profile and ergonomic enhancements.

Washburn WCG700SWEK

The WCG700SWEK is the latest guitar to join Washburn’s Comfort Series of acoustic guitars. Apart from being the first guitar in the series to boast an all-solid wood construction, the model also sports high-quality tonewoods and enhancements to playing comfort.

An ergonomic mahogany armrest bevel as well as belly and top carves mean this Grand Auditorium-shaped guitar will fit snugly along your body, providing a smooth and friendly playing experience.

Material-wise, the six-string has a torrefied Sitka spruce top, known for yielding the dry, ‘woody’ tone of vintage guitars. African ovangkol sides, a mahogany neck, an ebony fretboard, and a mahogany body binding complete the tonewood profile of this acoustic-electric six-stringer.

This WCG700SWEK also comes installed with Fishman’s Prefix Blend System, allowing you to draw tone from both the under-saddle pickup and an onboard microphone.

The Washburn WCG700SWEK lists for $999. For more information, check out washburn.com.
