By now, you should be well-acquainted with Brian Ray’s jaw-dropping collection of guitars. In this iteration, he introduces us to a pair of custom colour Fender Electric XIIs from 1965 – one in Firemist Gold, one in black, both with matching headstocks.

“The gold one I got on Reverb some time ago, and I’ve just sold it,” he admits. “The black one with the black headstock is so much more rare and to be honest with you, at this point, I don’t need two custom-colour Fender XIIs. There are a lot of people who are just bananas about custom-colour XIIs… I just need the one and obviously I chose the rarest of the rare ones.”
