BluGuitar announces lightweight 2×12 cabinet

Clocking in at about 40 pounds, BluGuitar’s new TwinCab takes after the company’s pint-sized ‘amp-in-a-stompbox,’ the AMP1.

The 2×12 cabinet—it also measures 30 inches long and 15.75 inches wide—is a closed-back unit with two BG-12 Special Speakers. It’s designed to produce “accurate bass, warm and full mids, as well as soft highs with balanced frequency projection,” BluGuitar said.

And because of the speaker’s two frontal bass reflex openings and basketweave front cloth, it sounds different depending on its orientation. Prop it up ‘portrait’ mode and you get more mids, or lay it down horizontally and it’ll issue out more bass, the company claims.
