Brian Ball steps up as the new CEO of Ernie Ball Inc

The family-owned business will see a third generation Ball take the helm.

Brian Ball has recently been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Ernie Ball Inc. Previously the company’s president, Brian’s new appointment sees him succeed his father, Sterling Ball.

Since he joined the company in 2000, Brian has been an integral part of developments in the areas of artist relations, marketing and sales. He and his team have managed collaborations with the likes of Slash, Metallica, James Valentine and more, and been credited with the development of popular string products like the Cobalt Slinkys, M-Steel, Paradigm and Aluminum Bronze.

Moving forward, Brian’s goals for the company include building on the legacy of the brand, pursuing strategic artist collaborations and leading the innovation of new products.

In a statement, Brian described his time in Ernie Ball as a “dream job” and is optimistic about his new appointment. “I’m incredibly excited and extremely fortunate to take on the role as CEO of Ernie Ball,” he stated. 

“Working for and alongside my dad Sterling has given me a tremendous foundation, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with and build upon his and my grandfather Ernie’s legacy to the best of my abilities.”
