In Pictures: Gardiner Houlgate’s December 2019 Auction

Gardiner Houlgate’s last auction of 2019 takes place this week, with a vast array of vintage and left-field guitars and amplifiers available. Taking place on 11 and 12 December, this month’s catalogue is packed to the rafters with exquisite electrics and beautiful acoustics, not to mention a selection of instruments from the late Gary Mooore, which you can find out more about here.

One of our favourite instruments in the auction is the 1962 Gibson Trini Lopez you can hear in the video above. Elsewhere you’ll find a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior, a 1966 Fender Stratocaster in three-tone Sunburst, a 1968 Gibson EB3 and a 1983 Gibson Explorer, amongst others.
