Gurus Amps and Baroni Lab have joined forces to create Foxgear, a brand focused on entry-level equipment. And the first products out of the blocks are the Professional Compact Series pedals.

This series comprises affordable mini pedals that are big on sound. Little is known about the specific pedals in the series thus far, but Binson Echorec fans will be glad to hear that Foxgear has included what appears to be a mini version of the Echosex 2º, which is Gurus’ reissue of the classic echo unit. It’s called the Echosex Baby.

And despite the price tags, quality hasn’t been compromised. The pedals feature an analog design and are constructed with non-SMD components, Wima capacitors, and real Alpha pots that are typically found on pricier gear.

Size really does matter when it comes to this new line. According to the brand, you can fit four Professional Compact Series pedals—they each measure 4.7 by 2.3 inches—in the space usually required for three regular micro stompboxes. And as far as aesthetics go, these pedals have screw-free enclosures and acrylic faceplates that glow when connected to power.

The Professional Compact Series pedals start from $80, and the Echosex Baby retails for $109. Learn more about them Foxgear’s Facebook page.
