Catalinbread has unveiled Topanga II, a limited-edition version of the brand’s original spring reverb pedal. Topanga II retains its predecessor’s catalogue of drippy ’verbs, but boasts a new spring reverb that’s inspired by Fender’s 6G15 spring reverb unit.

Engaged by a “+” toggle switch, the new mode is designed to increase both reverb density and decay, suiting the needs of those requiring more than a splashy echo.

Otherwise, the Topanga II remains largely similar to its predecessor, boasting the same four controls of dwell, tone, mix and volume. The latter governs the pedal’s preamp and can be cranked up for a clean boost.

The Topanga II is available in limited quantities. Each retails at $219.99. More info at catalinbread.com.
