Epiphone has announced its partnership with musician Chris Stapleton and has also unveiled the limited-edition Chris Stapleton Frontier acoustic.

The Chris Stapleton Frontier features a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, figured maple back and sides, and eye-catching double-engraved pick-guards with the Frontier lariat design and cactus motif. The Epiphone Chris Stapleton Frontier also comes with its own Custom Hardshell Case with Pink Interior and an intricate Tooled Exterior.

The guitar itself was built in the Gibson acoustic factory in Montana, USA by a Gibson luthier, and there are only 300 units available in this limited run.

“Epiphone has done an incredible job of getting every detail as it should be on this instrument, and I can tell you firsthand it’s stage-worthy and will get the job done at any venue you want to play in”, says the eight-time Grammy award-winning guitarist.

“It’s a work of art that does the work,” Stapleton continues.

“It’s an honour to have Chris join our family as a signature artist to represent and celebrate the 150th anniversary of Epiphone,” says Beth Heidt, VP of Cultural Influence at Gibson Brands-Global. “He continues to inspire and push boundaries through his incredible artistry.”

Epiphone has released an interview with the guitarist about the newest release. You can watch it in full below:

According to the manufacturer, the Chris Stapleton Frontier is hoped to continue on the legacy of the Frontier, which has been an integral part of many musicians’ careers, from Tom Petty’s album Damn the Torpedoes, to Oasis’ iconic What’s the Story Morning Glory.

While it was limited to 300 units and it boasts quite a hefty price tag of $4,999, it has unfortunately already sold out within the first 24 hours.
