ESP has announced the LTD KH-2 Ouija Sparke, a limited version of the LTD KH-2.

The guitar’s body bears the same design as, well, an Ouija board, but also as a number of Kirk Hammett’s signature ESP LTD guitars. As the last part of its name might suggest, the KH-2 Ouija Sparkle comes in either a red or purple sparkle finish. In both cases, the Ouija design is overlaid in a golden yellow.

The construction retains the core characteristics of the LTD series, with an alder body, maple neck and ebony fretboard, with crescent moon inlays. In terms of actual frets, there’s 24 on offer here – fitted into an ultra-thin U-profile neck, with the same neck-through construction of its predecessors.

The pickups are Kirk Hammett’s own EMG signature set, The EMG KH Bone Breakers, sitting next to a Floyd Rose 1000 series. The guitar also features a locking nut and LTD tuners.

500 guitars will be built in each finish, listing for $1,399. This is in addition to 30 guitars in each finish being built in ESP’s Custom Shop in Japan, which will list for $12,000.
