NAMM 2020: Gibson has announced the brand new Slash Collection, comprising a total of six instruments bearing distinctive features favoured by the Guns N’ Roses guitarist.

The Slash collection is made up of four Les Paul Standard electric guitars and two J-45 Standard acoustic guitars.

Slash Collection Les Paul Standard

Each Slash Collection Les Paul Standard features a solid mahogany body with a AAA maple cap and a C-shaped mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. Other standard features across the electric guitar collection include signature Gibson “Slashbucker” pickups, hand-wired electronics with Orange Drop capacitors, Slash’s ‘Scully’ signature on the back of the headstock and a vintage-style brown hardshell case. Slash’s new Ernie Ball strings and four Slash Jim Dunlop Tortex picks will also be included with each guitar.

The Les Paul Standards will be available in four finishes: Anaconda Burst, November Burst, Appetite Burst and Vermillion Burst.

Slash Collection J-45 Standard

The Slash Collection J-45 Standards are the first Gibson acoustic guitars to bear the guitarist’s moniker. Each J-45 Standard features a custom Slash rounded C-neck profile, a 16-inch fingerboard radius and an LR Baggs VTC pickup system for amplifying the guitar’s natural acoustic sound.

The Slash Collection J-45 Standards will likewise feature Slash’s ‘Scully’ signature on the back of the headstock and will come with four Slash Jim Dunlop Tortex picks. Two finishing options are available for the Slash-inspired J-45 Standards: November Burst and Vermillion Burst.

The Gibson Slash Collection will make their performance debut when Slash rejoins Guns N’ Roses for the next leg of their Not In This Lifetime reunion tour this summer.
