Godin has announced a new semi-hollow electric, the Montreal Premiere HT Laguna Blue.

The guitar comes built with a carved cedar core fitted in a Canadian cherry body, with a set mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The neck completes a 24.75-inch scale length, which ends in a chrome tune-o-matic hardtail bridge.

Electronics consist of a Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2n in the neck position and a Godin Custom Humbucker in the bridge, with master volume and tone controls.

The Laguna Blue finish comes courtesy of Godin’s new acoustic guitar-inspired approach to finishing. The brand says “Because the finish is thinner and more organic in nature—like you would find on a good acoustic guitar—it breathes more freely and offers even more sonic properties to the Montreal Premiere HT.”

You can see the guitar in action with Godin’s Demo below.
