The guitar comes in two finishes which look to pay tribute to a couple of Slash’s go-to models, but at a very friendly price.

Harley Benton has unveiled its new SC-550SL Gotoh Tribute models, which look to be inspired by two of Slash’s go-to guitars, but with a smaller price tag.
The single-cut model is available in a Paradise Amber Flame or Autumn Flame Burst finish, and there’s left handed versions on offer too. These classic finishes appear to capture both Slash’s Appetite For Destruction era Kris Derrig-built ‘59 Les Paul replica, and his November Burst Gibson Les Paul Standard.
Harley Benton says that “the SC-550SL Gotoh comes straight out of the golden age of rock n’ roll, with everything the modern rocker expects”. Both finishes put the cherry on top of a chambered mahogany body with a carved AAAA flame maple veneer too.
Each guitar also has a mahogany ‘60s profile neck with aPau Ferro 12” radius fretboard and 22 Blacksmith stainless steel frets, plus a set of classic trapezoidal fret inlays.
Pickup-wise, the SC-550SL is loaded with two Tesla Opus-1 Zebra Alnico-5 humbuckers, which are controlled via your typical 3-way switch with twin tone and volume controls. There’s a set of Gotoh Kluson tuners and a DLX Tune-O-Matic bridge, plus a stop tail.
The SC-550SL is available now, in both finishes and left-handed or right-handed variations for just £349. Go to harleybenton.com for more information.
