Harmony launches Series 6 amplifiers that match vintage inspiration with modern features

Harmony has expanded its amplifier offerings with the new Series 6 combos, a trio of all-tube amps that bring modern features to a vintage-inspired design.

The Series 6 amps come in three sizes to suit the needs of home practice, recording and the stage: the H605 is a five-watter, the H620 is a 20-watter and the H650 offers 50 watts for bigger shows.

Aside from the promise of organic, responsive tones, Harmony has also equipped each with Jensen speakers and a built-in attenuator that goes all the way down to zero watts for silent sessions.

Each amp also features a three-band EQ with a presence knob, as well as onboard tremolo, reverb and gain boost.

Harmony H605

The smallest of the three, the H605 is suited for bedroom practice and home studios. The combo packs an eight-inch Jensen P8R speaker, along with two 12AX7 tubes in its preamp and a single 6L6GC in the power amp.

Harmony H620

Going one size up is the H620, which is fitted with a 12-inch Jensen Falcon speaker, three 12AX7 in its preamp section and two 6L6GCs power amp tubes. Harmony says this model is ideal for small stages and intimate studios.

Harmony H650

Finally, there’s the H650, which offers 50-watts of power for bigger shows. With the attenuator however, you can always dial things back to a single watt for home practice. It comes loaded with a 12-inch Jensen Tornado Stealth, three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of 6L6GCs in the power amp.

Each amp also has two speaker out jacks with switchable impedance, a line out and effects loop. True to the brand’s heritage, these sport strong retro flair with deep blue tolex wrapping and reinforced leather handles.

The Harmony Series 6 H605, H620 and H650 amplifiers are available now for $549, $649 and $999, respectively.
