Hughes & Kettner has announced a 1×12 combo version of the Black Spirit 200 and a new TS 112 Pro cabinet. The combo features a single Celestion G12H-75 creamback speaker and a Thiele/Small enclosure that’s said to be the secret behind the unit’s massive sound. The TS 112 Pro cabinet is an offshoot from the Spirit combo, designed to pair up with either of the Black Spirit 200 amps. Here are the details:

Black Spirit 200 combo

The key to this combo’s huge sound is its Thiele/Small enclosure. It features a closed-back, front-ported birch plywood construction as well as Thiele/Small ports that help increase low-end response. Its balanced dimensions also dampen the speaker’s movement and allows it to ‘breathe’. These features, according to the brand, maximise sonic potential and output.

Otherwise, the combo is largely similar to the previously released head amp. It has the same four analogue channels – Clean, Crunch, Lead and Ultra – in-built effects, as well as a sagging control that tweaks power amp sag at any volume setting. It also has Hughes & Kettner’s Red Box DI out feature – arming you with eight types of cabinet emulations – and internal storage for up to 128 presets.

Retails at €1,199.

Retails at €499.
