Ibanez revives the RG565
The lastest of its old-school models to be brought back by its Genesis Collection.

Ibanez has unveiled a new, colourful entry into its Genesis Collection series of reissues: the classic RG565.
This guitar, introduced in 1991 and discontinued a year later, comes in either Emerald Green or Fluorescent Orange – with the finish extending to the fretboard inlays and headstock for extra flair. Its body is basswood, while its bolt-on Super Wizard five-piece maple and walnut is topped with a 24-fret maple fretboard.
Loaded into the guitar are two humbuckers: an Ibanez Infinity ceramic blade humbucker in the neck and a V8 Alnico full-sized humbucker in the bridge. Things are kept simple with a single volume, a single tone and a five-way selector.
For the shredders (whom this brightly-coloured, 24-fret S-type is unsurprisingly aimed at), there’s an Ibanez edge Tremolo system – and the whole guitar is lent a sense of speed by its slim design and reversed headstock.
