IK Multimedia‘s rumoured ToneX pedal is a reality, and with it comes with the AI-powered amp and effects models that the software specialist is known for – in a size small enough for most pedalboards.

ToneX Pedal’s AI learning works by analysing a prepared guitar track and creating a Tone Model with the help of deep machine learning. It’s an architecture that runs similar to IK’s ToneX Max software. There’s also a custom IR Loader and MIDI control that stretches throughout.

Onboard controls are provided through five dual-function control knobs that let you adjust Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Volume, but as well as that, Reverb, Compressor, Noise Gate, Presence, and Depth, too.

There are also five reverb models – drawn from the brand’s popular AmpliTube X-Space Reverb pedal – amidst other effects, and 50 saveable banks.

Users have access to 1,000 Tone Models using the ToneX Max software, a number of which can be saved in the pedal’s banks via a USB connection.

And if you’re curious about audio resolutions, ToneX Pedal operates at 24-bit, 192 kHz to ensure authentic sounding models.

The ToneX Pedal is now available at $399. Learn more at the ToneX Pedal product page.
