Universal Audio has released version 1.2 of the Ox Box’s firmware, bringing some added flexibility to both the box itself and the accompanying software.
The OX Box is an amp-top load box, which sits in between a tube head and a speaker cabinet – but also offers cab simulation for headphone and recording output. The update adds five new speaker cabinets the 4×12 UK Vee 30, CA Vee 30 and GB 30, the 2×12 JBF 120 and the 1×12 JBG125.
The update also adds support for footswitches – now, the footswitch in jack can be used with one, two or three-button footswitches. This will allow for instant control of the unit’s, and the ability to engage more than one effect at a time, if you want to quickly shift into an ambient passage or a solo.
27 rig presets have also been bundled in with the update, to give you a quick showcase of what the Ox Box can do, or provide a base setting for some deeper tweaking.
The update is free for owners of the OX Box. More information at uaudio.com.
