PRS unveils a special Fade run of SE Custom 24s for Europe

PRS Guitars Europe has unveiled an extremely limited run of fade-finished SE Custom 24s, each sporting one of four gorgeous new finishes. These were inspired by the hand-faded finishes of PRS’ Private Stock models.

The four new finishes available are: Amber Fade, Charcoal Blue Fade, Charcoal Cherry Fade and Charcoal Fade. The series is limited to just 800 instruments – with only 200 available per colour. Surprisingly, these new fade-finished models cost just as much the standard 2020 SE Custom 24 models: $789. They sport the same specs as well.

The SE Custom 24 Fade Limited – as part of the brand’s SE line of instruments – packs the familiar design sensibilities of the PRS Custom 24, albeit at a more affordable price point. Each guitar’s body features a maple top and mahogany back, paired to that, a wide thin maple neck with rosewood fingerboard – dressed with the company’s signature bird inlays.

In terms of electronics, this model packs PRS’ 85/15 “S” humbuckers both in the bridge and neck position. Controls on the SE Custom 24 Fade Limited include a Volume knob, a Push/Pull Tone Control, which allows the humbuckers to be coil-tapped, and a 3-way switching system.
