PRS has announced an extremely limited run of the S2 Studio, a double-cut electric with versatile electronics and some premium appointments.

The guitar’s mahogany body is fitted with a Starla bridge humbucker, as well as 2 Type-D single-coils in the middle and neck position. A 5-way blade switch allows for the following pickup combinations: position one is just the bridge humbucker, which can be split bu the push-pull tone pot, position two is the bridge and the middle pickup, position three is the bridge and the neck pickup, position four is the middle and neck pickup, and position five is just the neck pickup.

The 22-fret neck is made of mahogany, and features a ‘pattern regular’ profile, a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. It completes a 25-inch scale-length, with PRS Low Mass locking tuners and a PRS tremolo bridge at either end of the strings.

The guitar is available in four finishes, each with its own pickguard colour: Antique White, with a tortoise-shell pickguard, Frost Blue Metallic, with a Mint pickguard, Tobacco Sunburst with a tortoise-shell pickguard and Black, with a tortoise-shell pickguard.

50 guitars will be made available in Europe for the run.
