Two Notes, who develop extensively modelled cabinet simulation impulse responses, has teamed up with ENGL to release a pack of IRs modelling the manufacturer’s cabinets.

Two Notes says that the cabinets pack has been “professionally captured with a carefully chosen microphone selection and only the best microphone preamps.”

The pack offers two 4×12 ENGL cabinets: the ENGL E412XXL and the ENGL E412VSB. The 2×12’s are the ENGL E212VHB and the ENGL E212VB. There’s also one single-speaker cabinet, the ENGL E112VB. All of the cabinets modelled are loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers.

At NAMM 2020, Two Notes also revealed the new Torpedo Captor X, a reactive load box that lets you use Two Notes (and third-party) impulse responses instead of a real cabinet. It’s designed to be portable, and is capable of taking amps with power ratings up to 100 watts.

Features new to the Torpedo Captor X include a Stereo Expander with Stereo Reverb and Twin Tracker, Enhancer, Voicing, Noise Gate and XLR DI outputs with three routing options (Stereo, Dual Mono and Dry/Wet). Users can also pair the Torpedo Captor X with their phone, tablet computer or MIDI controller.

The pack lists for €27. Find out more over at store.two-notes.com.
