Warwick has unveiled a new line of RockBass acoustic bass guitars, entitled the Alien Deluxe Hybrid Thinline Series – with a wide range of models to suit most every acoustic bass need.

The series’ name derives from two key features: firstly, the thin body for comfort, and secondly the combination of two styles of pickups (magnetic and piezo) for added flexibility.

In total there are eight new various Alien Deluxe Hybrid Thinline models, but the core specifications include a solid sitka spruce top, Walnut back and sides, along with a mahogany neck and wenge fingerboard. Fretted models sport 24 nickel-silver jumbo frets.

Electronics-wise, all models include a Shadow NanoMag pickup in the fingerboard and a Shadow piezo pickup under the saddle – running into a Shadow NFX preamp with built-in tuner. All models also sport a Just-A-Nut III Tedur nut, chrome hardware and wenge thumbrest.

Variations on this theme include the choice for four or five strings, left or right-handed and fretted or fretless.

The new 4-string models are available now, starting at €899, while the 5-string models will be available in mid-February. Find out more at shop.warwick.de.
