NAMM 2020: Jackson Guitars has unveiled the Shadowcaster – a brand-new signature guitar model for Rob Caggiano. The new axe is the Volbeat guitarist’s first collaboration with Jackson.

The Shadowcaster features an offset mahogany body paired with a bolt-on maple neck and compound radius ebony fretboard. The body also features a chamfered ‘tummy cut’ for player comfort and a contoured neck heel for upper-fret accessibility. Other hardware features include a pair of Caggiano’s signature DiMarzio humbuckers, locking tuners, hardtail bridge, five-way pickup selector and a single volume and tone knob. The Shadowcaster comes in a striking purple finish and is available in both the American-made USA Signature and Indonesian-made Pro series.

Commenting on his partnership with Jackson, Caggiano shared how the brand’s guitars shaped his formative guitar-playing years. “I fell in love with a quirky little guitar myself called the Jackson Outcaster in the mid-1990s. It quickly became my main guitar for a few years”, he said.

Caggiano joined Jackson artist roster back in 2019 and showcased prototypes of his Shadowcaster guitar during Volbeat’s summer shows. “Between the playability, the incredible looks and feel, and the killer tone [the Shadowcaster prototypes] spits out— I’m really proud of what we’ve come up with so far,” said Caggiano. The Shadowcaster can also be heard on Volbeat’s 2019 album Rewind, Replay, Rebound.

Pricing and availability of the Jackson Rob Caggiano Signature Shadowcaster TBC. For more information, click here.
