Lundgren Guitar Pickups has unveiled the Black Heaven, a humbucker that took the Swedish company three years to develop.

Look elsewhere if you’re after vintage tones—this is a decidedly modern pickup that works best for heavier styles of music, from metal to punk. The Black Heaven is a refined, less compressed and more versatile version of the brand’s popular M6 model, known for its tight response and high output.

The bridge pickup, with your choice of Alnico or ceramic magnets, has a “crisp attack, meaty growl and punchy lows accompanied by rich harmonics and excellent dynamics,” said Lundgren. And the neck pickup, with Alnico magnets, is an articulate and “juicy” humbucker that lead players will love. The Black Heaven is available in six-, seven- and eight-stringed formats, and in a variety of finishes.

The Black Heaven lists from EUR 159 to EUR 179 for a single, and EUR 299 to EUR 339 for a set. For more information, check out lundgren.se.
