The tweet was met with apparent disapproval from the festival organisers, who hadn’t made any other official lineup announcements. The official festival account wrote “Nice one @liamgallagher. Kept that quiet.”

Unsurprisingly, however, Liam Gallagher was soon after the first artist to be officially confirmed as a headliner of the double festival, which will take place between 28 and 30 August 2020.
The announcement comes after Liam Gallagher’s second solo album release, Why Me? Why Not., which came out in September this year – preceded by As It Was, a documentary about Liam’s musical career and life post-Oasis.
