Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have shared the title track of their forthcoming EP, This Is The Place, due out on 27 September.

The single, as you’d expect from the former Oasis man, recalls 90s-era Britrock in the vein of Kula Shaker and The Stone Roses – psychedelic, strident and groove-laden, with female backing vocals that soar over the chorus. It’s one of two brand-new songs on the EP, which also includes two remixes.

This Is The Place, which takes its name from a Tony Walsh poem dedicated to Manchester, is the band’s second EP to drop this year, after June’s Black Star Dancing. And Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will make it a triple-feature, with yet another EP planned before 2019 comes to a close.

Gallagher has also shared the artwork for the EP:

This Is The Place will be released digitally and on vinyl. Pre-order the EP here.
