Thin Lizzy have announced a comprehensive new box set, Rock Legends, due to arrive 23 October through UMC.

Comprising six CDs and one DVD, the box set spans the band’s entire career, gathering 74 previously unreleased tracks, which include demos, alternate takes, live recordings, and much more. Meanwhile, the DVD will include two rare features: a live recording from Rod Stewart’s Night on the Town television special from 1976 and an hour-long documentary titled Bad Reputation, which first aired on BBC4 in 2015.

The box set’s track listing was put together by Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham and band expert Nick Sharp. The box set is based on a collection of newly discovered tapes – much of which included previously unheard material.

The Rock Legends set will also include a hard-backed book with replicas of the band’s tour programs, as well as Phil Lynott’s poetry books and four collectible prints by Thin Lizzy cover artist Jim Fitzpatrick. A second book collects quotes from the members of Thin Lizzy about their time in the band, along with testimonials from the band’s famous fans including Slash, Lemmy Kilmeister, James Hetfield, Henry Rollins, Billy Corgan, and more.
