The Flaming Lips have brought some holiday cheer with a cover of Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy.

The Christmas classic premiered in 1977 on a segment of The Bing Crosby Show, and is fondly remembered for the beautiful harmonies between David Bowie and Bing Crosby. In their cover, Flaming Lips do not disappoint, delivering a well-arranged rendition of the tune and a characteristically strange video to boot.

Prior to this festive detour, the band announced their 15th studio album, King’s Mouth, which is slated for release on 13 April. In the meantime, fans can feast on a recently released compilation album – Seeing The Unseeable: The Complete Studio Recordings Of The Flaming Lips 1986-1990 – that features the band’s greatest hits and some rare, early tracks.
