Duesenberg has joined forces with Boston punk band Dropkick Murphys on a limited-edition offering: the Alliance Series Dropkick Murphys. The range comprises a semi-hollow guitar and bass, limited to 96 instruments (in total) worldwide.
Informed by band members Ken Casey (bass) and Jeff DaRosa (guitar), each instrument features a double-cut shape with two f-holes and a “Rose Tattoo” decal between pickups.
The semi-hollow guitar model is loaded with the brand’s Domino P90 and Grand Vintage humbucker, while the bass variant boasts two BassBucker pickups. Controls on each model are the same as well, comprising master volume and tone knobs as well as a three-way pickup selector.

Where tonewoods are concerned, both instruments feature a laminated spruce top, laminated flamed maple back and sides, a set-in, one-piece maple neck, as well as a 12-inch-radius Indian rosewood fingerboard.
As final touches, volume knobs on the bass and guitar will be laser-engraved with respective band members’ initials – ‘KC’ and ‘JD’ – while the tone knobs will sport the logo of Dropkick Murphys’ charity, The Claddagh Fund. A Catalina Green Burst finish wraps up the instruments’ sterling look.
All instruments ship with a bunch of goodies including a limited-edition t-shirt and certificate of authenticity in the form of an ice hockey puck.
