Fender has brought together its team of Master Builders and a host of big-name artists for a charity sale of Custom Shop models and autographed instruments. Proceeds from the sale of these one-off models go towards Crew Nation – a charity organisation set up by Live Nation to support music event workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 11 instruments – five Masterbuilt and six artist-signed – will be listed on The Official Fender x Crew Nation Reverb Shop on 16 June at 11 AM CDT.
Take a look at some of the listed instruments below.
According to Reverb, each Masterbuilt Fender instrument was crafted by a pair of luthiers – both working from home. To commemorate the special conditions for which the instruments were created, each is adorned with a special “Build at Home” neck plate.
Crew Nation Telecaster
This luxurious ash Telecaster was conceived by Master Builders Yiriy Shishkov and Kyle McMillin, and features hand-engraved artwork with precious stones and diamonds.
Crew Nation Tamo Stratocaster
Created by luthiers Jason Smith and Dennis Galuszka, this chambered Stratocaster fashions a highly sought after piece of Tamo ash – paired to a highly figured maple neck.
Tom Morello Soul Power Stratocaster
Mirroring one of Morello’s most iconic instruments – this modern Stratocaster comes equipped with a kill-switch toggle and a floating bridge.
Flea Active Jazz Bass
This preamp equipped J-bass packs a single hot-wound humbucker to deliver heavy and aggressive tones. In addition to his autograph, the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist also chose to include some of his personal art.
