Guitar.com Live: Speaking during a panel on the art of the signature model, Annie Clark (AKA St Vincent) has shared that she’s developing a new signature model with Ernie Ball Music Man.

The St Vincent signature model with the brand is one of the most recognisable electric guitars to come out in the last decade – signature or not – with a distinct, angular silhouette and stylish colour palette. It comes in a couple of configurations, one with three mini-humbuckers and one with two full-sized humbuckers. There’s also a more affordable line offered by Sterling by Music Man.

During the panel, St Vincent revealed that there is a new iteration of the Ernie Ball Music Man St Vincent model in the pipeline when asked what was keeping her sane during lockdown, saying that alongside finishing records, “working on a new iteration of this guitar has been really really fun.” View the full panel below, where she was joined by other Ernie Ball artists James Valentine, John Petrucci, Steve Morse and Jason Richardson, chatting to Dr Molly Miller about the art of the signature guitar.

As to how dramatic the update to the guitar will be, we’re yet to see – it could simply sport a new hardware configuration, or be a complete overhaul of the model. Stay tuned to Guitar.com for more on the new guitar as it happens.
