TheGigRig has launched Wetter Box, a compact parallel mixing tool that allows you to blend two effects pedals to your signal chain.

It’s based on the brand’s 2006 Wet Box, which worked similarly but on a much simpler scale. The Wetter Box expands on its predecessor’s design, allowing you to blend effects within your pedalboard, amp effects loop or recording signal chain.

In operation, you connect effects to the device via mono or stereo and blend them with a central knob. There are two main modes of operation: Blend and Mix. According to the brand, Blend “crossfades loop A with B”, while Mix “adds loop B to Loop A”. In addition to the central control, there are also dedicated gain controls for each of the two loops, and a phase switch for the return of Loop B to mitigate phase issues.

On top of creating some new and intriguing sounds, the device also serves as an analogue dry through when using digital effects and amp effects loops. This allows you to blend your effects over your core sound, rather than eliminate it – handy for getting your effects blend levels just the way you want it.

The Wetter Box can also be used with an expression pedal or remote footswitch, if you so choose.
