John Mayer has shared a video of himself jamming over Hold On, the 2020 single from guitarist and singer-songwriter H.E.R.

Mayer yesterday (7 March) shared the jam onto his recently launched TikTok account. In the clip, he can be seen playing one of his signature PRS Silver Sky electric guitars. “I’ve adored this song since I first heard it,” Mayer captioned in his video.

In the 43-year-old guitar ace’s other TikTok videos, he’s also given bite-sized tutorials to some of his own tunes, including Slow Dancing In A Burning Room and Neon.
Mayer’s entrance into TikTok got off to a rocky start. When he posted his first video last Tuesday (2 March), he came under fire from Taylor Swift fans who flocked to his channel to rebuke him on his rumoured past relationship with the 31-year-old pop star.
In other Mayer-related news, a new alleged leak of an SE edition of the PRS Silver Sky has made waves online. On Friday (5 March), BlackSmith Strings posted onto its Facebook page an unconfirmed photo of a product spec sheet labelled “PRS Silver Sky”. The spec sheet seemed to imply that the product came from the same factory where the other SE guitars are made: PT Cort in Indonesia.
