Now here’s a video to brighten your day: seven kids cranking out a killer cover of Slipknot’s The Devil In I, from the nu-metal band’s 2014 album .5: The Gray Chapter.

Eight-year-old vocalist Taylor Jade Campbell leads the energetic performance in a suburban garage, playing Slipknot in defiance of his father, who explicitly warns the children not to. But the ‘band’ – all of whom are under 18 years of age – put their own pleasantly surprising spin on the song, with 17-year-old guitarist Eli Dykstra contributing his own scorching solo.

The video and cover were produced by the O’Keefe Music Foundation, a non-profit charity in Ohio that has since 2006 helped kids professionally record their own music for free. The children and youth they work with are no stranger to playing heavy music, logging covers of Pantera, Tool, Slayer and more.
