Ortega Guitars has unveiled the QUANTUMloop, and it has Ed Sheeran written all over it. It’s essentially a looper pedal with built-in digital percussion effects, 16 factory samples and four customizable user sample slots.

Built for the one-man-band, the QUANTUMloop features a beautiful mahogany housing with three footswitches on the right and a trigger surface on the left. The “A” and “B” footswitches allow the user to pick between four custom samples (via USB) and 16 pre-installed percussion samples over two sound banks.

Over on the loop section, you can record up to five minutes of audio and an infinite number of overdubs. A single footswitch acts as an all-in-one transport control, and a “Looper Level” knob controls the volume of the loops.

To maximize the pedal, hook up Ortega’s QUANTUMexp to it. This trigger unit controls the samples on Bank B, so you can play both sound banks simultaneously.

The QUANTUMloop and QUANTUMexp retail for $299.99 and $69.99, respectively.  More information at ortegaguitars.com.
