It appears that switches are not the only things being flipped at ZVEX’s headquarters. Like the ’59 Sound and Fuzz Factory before it, the Box of Rocks now comes in a pedalboard-friendlier orientation. But the classic overdrive tones of the original haven’t changed.

The Box of Rock was designed to emulate a 1966 Marshall JTM45, and features two modes, Boost and Rock. The former’s volume can be adjusted using the “Boost” knob, while the “Tone,” “Volume” and “Drive” knobs control the Rock mode. Oh and, the vertical version saves you a handsome 130 bucks, too.

The Box of Rock Vertical retails for $219. For more information, check out zvex.com.
