The Police, formed in London in 1977, featured Sting (vocals, bass), Andy Summers (guitar), and Stewart Copeland (drums). Blending rock, punk, reggae, and jazz, they released five albums, including the No. 1 "Synchronicity" (1983). They sold over 75 million records, won six Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
