Ananashead Effects has released the Blend Bass Drive, a bass pedal featuring classic ’70s overdrive and the ability to blend in clean signal.
The stompbox’s drive is modeled after a DOD250 overdrive/preamp circuit with bass-specific modifications—that means increased low frequencies and a clean JFET blend circuit placed at the front.
Its controls are straightforward: “Level” and “Gain” knobs control the output and drive levels, respectively, and a “Blend” knob sets the mix to preserve low end.
Additionally, the pedal comes with thoughtful appointments such as:
- Shielded inputs/outputs
- A protected nine-volt DC input
- Daisy-chain usage
- Popless true bypass switching
- Low current draw of 3.5mA
