Ananashed Effects has revealed the Main Fuzz as the brand’s latest handbuilt effects unit.

The Main Fuzz is touted as an all-encompassing built-to-order fuzz pedal that is available in three formats: germanium, silicon or hybrid Si-Ge. The pedal’s design is based on the classic Fuzz Face circuit, but comes with a mode switch that alters the voicing of the Main Fuzz. Pairing the mode switch with the low-pass tone knob allows the user to access a wide spectrum of tones, ranging from the Solasound Tonebender Mk 1.5 to modern bass-heavy fuzzes.

Other controls on the front panel include the conventional volume and fuzz controls as well as a pregain and bias knob. The Main Fuzz’s pregain function is similar to that of an attenuator, and can be used to clean up the wet signal and make it more wah-friendly.

The bias knob is meant to help manage the “temperature” of the germanium transistors but can also be used to tighten up the attack of the fuzz and give it a more OD character.

The Main Fuzz features pop-less true-bypass switching and comes with shielded inputs and outputs to prevent RF interference. Other hardware features include Alpha pots and switches, metal film resistors and caps, and a filtered and wrong polarity-protected 9V DC input.

The Ananashead Effects Main Fuzz is now available for 110.00. For more information, click here.
