NAMM 2020: Preparing for NAMM 2020, Guild has previewed a special edition of its X-175 hollowbody electric.

The hollowbody sports the fetching satin Malibu Blue finish, an arched spruce top and two DeArmond Dynasonic single-coil pickups. Guild says these provide “crystal clear highs and a full, round low-end – the makings of the iconic tones of rockabilly and blues from the 1950s on forward.”

The body, F-holes and three-piece neck are all fully bound, the latter coming with mother-of-pearl block inlays. At the other end of things is a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece for subtle, Bigsby-esque expression. For an added premium touch, the guitar comes with a hardshell case. Guild’s video demonstration will premiere a week from now, right before Winter NAMM 2020. Pick up a reminder for it below:

The X-175 will list for $2,100. More information at guildguitars.com. Be sure to stay up to date with our coverage of NAMM 2020 here. For more gear news, click here.
