Sterling By Music Man has announced the Jared Dines StingRay Artist Series guitar, the YouTube musician’s very first signature model. The signature guitar was crafted in a partnership with Ernie Ball Music Man’s design team and will be available online-only from 21 August.

The Dines StingRay pairs a mahogany body with a hard maple neck and, new to the StingRay’s design: a 24-fret fingerboard. Its completed scale length is 25.5-inches. Its electronics were specially fashioned after Dines’ playing style and includes a duo of hot-rodded custom humbuckers, routed to a killswitch, as well as a concentric volume/tone knob and a three-way pickup selector.

On the hardware side of things, the Dines StingRay opts for gold coloured appointments. The guitar comes equipped with a vintage-style tremolo bridge and locking tuners – both of Sterling design. Set against the guitar’s fully black finish, the gold hardware appears especially striking, while still keeping a refined, classic look.

“Growing up, I’d read the back of Ernie Ball string packs to discover new artists and bands to listen to, so now to be able to call myself an Ernie Ball artist is really gratifying and exciting”, said Dines in a press release statement.

“My Sterling by Music Man signature guitar sounds and feels just how I’d imagine it to be, and it was designed to fit my playing style. I’m excited to now be a part of such an iconic family. Not only has Ernie Ball been an important part of my upbringing, but it’s such an influential brand for rock music in general.”

The Sterling By Music Man Jared Dines StingRay is priced at $699.99 and will be available exclusively for online purchase beginning 21 August.
