Announced at Winter NAMM 2018, the Line 6 HX Effects imports all the good stuff from the Helix Rack and Helix Floor into a small gadget that you can fit on your pedalboard. Which means you can now have more than a hundred of the brand’s popular digital effects at your feet.

The HX uses the same audio engine as its larger—and more expensive—cousins, and allows you to run up to nine effects simultaneously. Choose from a library of reverbs, filters, distortions and modulations; even the iconic DL4, with its delays and echoes, are available on the HX. There are also modeling features that let you emulate different cabinets. And with eight capacitive-sensing footswitches and six screens, you can go wild churning out anything from incendiary licks to ambient soundscapes.

If you’ve a massive, complicated rig, the HX Effects can also function like a command center: You can switch amps, control pedals or software via MIDI, set up two effects loops, and use it as an outboard processor in the studio.

The HX Effects lists for $599. For more information, check out line6.com.
