Bob Weir has announced a 2020 tour for his project Bob Weir and Wolf Bros.

The band is formed of Weir along with drummer Jay Lane and bassist Don Was. Don Was co-founded 80s funk-rock band Was (Not Was), best known for their songs Walk The Dinosaur and Spy in the House of Love. Jay Lane played alongside Weir in RatDog for over 16 years, and has drummed for many other projects, including Primus.

The tour will kick off on 28 February next year, starting in Miami. Wier, who co-founded the Grateful Dead in 1965, has played in many projects since the group’s disbandment in 1995. Bob Weir and Wolf Bros is the latest of these, with others including RatDog, Furthur, Bobby & the Midnites, Dead & Company and Kingfish.

The announcement comes shortly before Ready or Not, a live EP compiled from Grateful Dead performances from the early to mid-1990s.
