The Catalinbread Carbide is a distortion pedal designed to mimic the "chainsaw sound" of a cranked Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal. It offers boosts at three frequency bands for maximum distortion. The pedal features two signal paths: one for clean boost suited for downtuned instruments, another for distortion. It has separate volume knobs for fine-tuning and an Emphasis control to cut treble and tighten the low end.
