Liam Gallagher has slammed Coachella as a “pathetic festival” on Twitter, seemingly suggesting fans will never see him play there – though he has already performed at the festival.

Gallagher previously performed with Oasis at the 2002 edition of the festival, so Gallagher’s claim may be reasonable as a solo artist, it must be said. Nonetheless, Gallagher slammed Coachella in reply to a fan criticising Frank Ocean’s disastrous performance at the most recent edition of the festival, which is set to hold its second weekend on 21 to 23 April, dismissing it as a “pathetic festival”.

Another fan attempted to point out that Gallagher had previously performed at Coachella, only for the musician to reply that fans “Never wouldn’t catch me at an establishment like that”, though the use of a double negative could imply that Gallagher will indeed one day perform at the festival again.

Rumours of an Oasis reunion are in the off, with Gallagher remarking on Twitter that his oft-estranged brother Noel has been “on the phone begging for forgiveness”. This followed a surprise admission from Noel that he would “never say never” to an Oasis reunion, having previously compared the idea to ‘going on holiday with your ex-Mrs’ in October last year.
