After the news about Ryan Adams’ alleged sexual misconduct broke, JHS announced it would discontinue his signature VCR pedal. But now, it looks like the pedal builder has changed tack, rebranding and repackaging the stompbox as the Space Commander.

The Space Commander retains the VCR’s three 80s-inspired effects: transistor-based boost, swirling chorus and hall reverb. Controls on the repackaged device are identical as well, with each effect having a control knob and a bypass switch.

JHS has offered to re-house existing VCR pedals at $35, while a new pedal will set you back $229.
